The grooming menu, W MacKenzie Rd
Five kinds of grooming, one room with no crates.
Every visit at Yuppy Puppy is by appointment, in a bright room in DeLand where dogs wait loose instead of caged. Below is what we do, from a full groom to a quick nail trim, and how each one fits a coat that needs regular care.

Service 01
Full groom
Bath, blow-out, haircut and tidy, scissored to your dog's breed and your routine.
Each one starts with a hands-on coat check, because the cut depends on what’s underneath the top layer. Then comes the bath, a full blow-out, the haircut and a tidy of the feet, face and ears. Tell us what you want your dog to look like and how the last groom went.
Owners here keep their doodles on a six-week rotation of full grooms, with bath visits in between, and say the coats and skin have never been better.

Bath visits
A bath, dry and brush-out between full grooms, so the coat never gets away from you.
A bath visit is shampoo, a thorough dry and a brush-out, without the full haircut. It keeps a thick coat from felting in the weeks between scissors, and it keeps skin and smell where they should be. It’s the in-between step that makes a six-week rotation work.
How bath visits work
Services 03 to 05
Nails, doodles and double coats.

- Nail trims
- Short, careful nail work, taken slowly with dogs who hate having their paws held.Paws are the first thing a nervous dog guards. We go slowly, take breaks, and keep the visit short on purpose.

- Goldendoodle grooming
- Doodle coats brushed out to the skin and cut to a shape that lasts six weeks.A doodle coat mats close to the skin, so the brush goes in before the clippers or scissors do.

- Retriever, Lab and shepherd grooming
- Undercoat worked out of retrievers, Labradors and German shepherds, never shaved.Retrievers, Labs and shepherds shed their undercoat in handfuls. The work is getting that out, not cutting the coat down.

Pricing and booking
How pricing works.
We don’t publish a price list, because a mini doodle with a tidy coat and a Labrador shedding in July are different jobs. The price depends on your dog’s breed, size and coat condition. Call (386) 951-4087, tell us about your dog, and you’ll get a price before you book.
Appointments only, Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We’re at 2761 W MacKenzie Rd, DeLand, FL, and dogs come in from Deltona and across Volusia County.

Nervous dogs and rescues
A dog that was turned away somewhere else, or one that’s never been groomed at all, can still book. We introduce things slowly, give breaks when a dog needs them, and call you the moment your dog is ready for pick-up.
